These are the so-called holotypes and cotypes. In recent years, several new minerals have been found. They are approved by the International Mineralogical Association (IMA), specifically by the Commission on New Minerals, Nomenclature and Classification (CNMNC IMA.) The places where they were discovered are called \u201ctype locality\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ugb-container ugb-container bs-news-page-under ugb-f8694ce ugb-container--v2 ugb-container--design-plain ugb-main-block\"><div class=\"ugb-inner-block\"><div class=\"ugb-block-content\"><div class=\"ugb-container__wrapper ugb-f8694ce-wrapper\"><div class=\"ugb-container__side\"><div class=\"ugb-container__content-wrapper ugb-f8694ce-content-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-columns stk-block-columns stk-block stk-9254b28\" data-block-id=\"9254b28\"><div class=\"stk-row stk-inner-blocks stk-block-content stk-content-align stk-9254b28-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-column stk-block-column stk-column stk-block stk-efeb52e\" data-v=\"4\" data-block-id=\"efeb52e\"><style>@media screen and (min-width: 768px){.stk-efeb52e {flex:var(--stk-flex-grow, 1) 1 calc(60% - var(--stk-column-gap, 0px) * 1 \/ 2 ) !important;}}<\/style><div class=\"stk-column-wrapper stk-block-column__content stk-container stk-efeb52e-container stk--no-background stk--no-padding\"><div class=\"stk-block-content stk-inner-blocks stk-efeb52e-inner-blocks\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SZKLARY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The new minerals were discovered in pegmatite at the site of the former <em>Marta <\/em>nickel mine in Szklary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Nioboholtyte<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 (Nb\u2080.\u2086 \u2080.\u2084)AI\u2086BSI\u2083O\u2081\u2088 (Pieczka, Evans, Grew, Groat, Ma, Rossman, 2012) MA No. 2012-068; holotype \u2013 MMWr IV-7615<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tytanoholtyt<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 (Ti\u2080.\u2087\u2085 \u2080.\u2082\u2085)AI\u2086BSi\u2083O\u2081\u2088 (Pleczka, Evans, Grew, Groat, Ma, Rossman, 2012) IMA No. 2012-069; holotype \u2013 MMWr IV-7617<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Szklaryite<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 AI\u2086BAs\u00b3\u207a\u2083O\u2081\u2085 (Pieczka, Evans, Grew, Groat, Ma, Rossman, 2012) IMA No. 2012-070; holotype \u2013 MMWr-7615<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PI\u0141AWA G\u00d3RNA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Minerals were found in the pegmatites of the migmatite and amphibolite quarry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pilawite-(Y)<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 Ca\u2082Y\u2082AI\u2084 (SiO\u2084)O\u2082(OH)\u2082 (Pieczka, Hawthorne, Cooper, Sze\u0142\u0119g, Szuszkiewicz, Turniak, Nejbert and Ilnicki, 2013) IMA No. 2013-125; holotype \u2013 MMWr IV-7676<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u017babi\u0144skit<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 Ca[Al\u2080.\u2085(Ta,Nb)\u2080.\u2085](SiO\u2084)O (Pieczka, Hawthorne, Ma, Rossman, Buffat, Rutkowski, Sze\u0142\u0119g, Szuszkiewicz, Turniak, Nejbert and Ilnicki, 2015) IMA No.2015-033; holotype \u2013 MMWr IV-7675<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MORASKO<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The minerals were discovered during studies of silicate inclusions in the <em>Morasko <\/em>meteorites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Moraskoite<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 Na\u2082Mg(PO\u2084)F (Karwowski, Kusz, Muszy\u0144ski, Kryza, Sitarz, Galuskin, 2013) IMA No. 2013-084; holotype \u2013 MMWr IV-7766<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Czochralskit<\/span><\/strong> \u2013 Na\u2084Ca\u2083Mg(PO\u2084)\u2084 (Karwowski, Kryza, Muszy\u0144ski, Kusz, Helios, Dro\u017cdzewski, Galuskin, 2015) IMA No. 2015-011; holotype \u2013 MMWr IV-7870<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MICHA\u0141KOWA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The mineral was discovered in a pegmatite, from which also comes the oldest holotype in the collection \u2013 a sarcopsid (Websky, 1868). New Polish minerals owe their names to the places where they were discovered (glasarite, pi\u0142awite, moraskoite) or have been honoured by eminent Polish scientists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jan Czochralski (1885-1953) was a Polish chemist, metal scientist, and inventor of a method of obtaining monocrystals (later called the Czochralski method), which is the basis for the production of microprocessors and which is still widely used today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Witold \u017babi\u0144ski (1929-2007) was one of the most eminent Polish mineralogists. Founder of the Polish Mineralogical Society. Secretary of the Committee of Mineralogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Publisher of <em>Mineralogia Polonica<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrzej Manecki (born in 1933) is an eminent Polish mineralogist. Secretary of the Department of Mineralogy, Petrography and Geochemistry, Secretary of the Committee of Mineralogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. One of the founders of the Polish Mineralogical Society.
